A few short, anonymised examples of what we have found and fixed on hacked WordPress sites.
Malware that came back from the database
Deleted files reappeared within minutes, because the malware lived in the database and rewrote them. We cleaned it from the database as well, then checked that nothing came back.
A hidden plugin and fake admins
A plugin hid itself from the WordPress admin, and fake admin accounts used the site's own domain to blend in. We checked every admin account by hand and signed out every login.
Scripts only visitors could see
Malicious scripts showed only to visitors, never to logged-in admins, so the site looked clean from the admin side. We removed them, then loaded each cleaned site repeatedly to confirm nothing came back.
A Web3 card skimmer
A Web3 card skimmer was running on a site. We removed it with the rest of the infection.

What does WordPress maintenance include?
We offer one monthly maintenance package. It includes WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, off-site backups kept for 50 days and a premium plugin bundle at no extra cost, plus uptime monitoring, speed checks and a monthly report. Two optional add-ons are coming soon: a security add-on that scans for malware and hacks and fixes them automatically, and an automated testing add-on that checks orders, emails and forms still work after updates. Your written quote lists exactly what you get.
Why are backups kept for 50 days?
Because an infection is often noticed weeks later, when yesterday's backup is infected too. WordPress's own guidance asks for dated backups from before a possible compromise, stored in more than one place.2 A 50-day off-site history covers that.
Why aren't automatic updates enough?
Because they run unattended, and a bad plugin update can silently break your checkout or forms. WooCommerce itself says not to test updates on the live site and to place a test order afterwards.3
Why don't you provide hosting?
Because your site stays on your own hosting, in your name, so you can change maintainer at any time. We work on the hosting you already have.
Which PHP version should my site run in 2026?
PHP 8.3 or newer. WordPress recommends it, PHP 8.1 support ended on 31 December 2025, and PHP 8.2 support ends on 31 December 2026.45
